I look forward to meeting you!
I am available for San Francisco home births, as well as home births in Daly City, San Bruno, Pacifica and southern Marin. I am currently not taking new clients in the East Bay. If you would like to have a free informational interview, please sign up for an appointment! Please note that I will be out of town from October 11th to 25th, 2018. We will work with a second midwife to cover my practice while I am gone. If you are a repeat client, please give me a call (I can always squeeze you in!!)
I would love to meet you and talk about your birth in person. Just sign up for a free introductory interview and we can talk about your home birth. A free Natural Childbirth video is included in our visit. I believe that giving birth is truly an empowering experience that can transform your life. I look forward to meeting you!
For all potential VBAC clients, please note that I am not offering home birth services to VBACs at this time. I offer a service called Labor Management at Home, where we will ultimately be birthing in the hospital. Please let me know if you are interested in this service; I would love to help you have an empowering birth experience.
Midwifery Model of Care
The Midwives Model of Care is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes. The Midwives Model of Care includes:
- Monitoring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle
- Providing the mother with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support
- Minimizing technological interventions
- Identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention
The application of this woman-centered model of care has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma, and cesarean section.
